The Snowman as Earrings

 A Metal Die, some Shrinky Dink, Markers and jewelry findings and it's some very easy to make earrings (as long as you remember to punch the hole first).

The presentation packaging is made using Papertrey Ink's Boutique Accessories with a bit of scotch tape on the backside of the patterned paper to keep the earrings in place during their travels.

I found some big ass domes. They easily cover my regular  domes.

Christmas Golf Dome

An interactive Christmas Golf Dome for my father's widow who loves golf. I made the snowman and the snow golf ball out of toilet paper and a smidge of glue (this dries much faster than paper clay at this size). I assembled the snowman and attached it with glossy accents. When it had dried I covered it and the snowball with Icicle Stickles. The tiny tree is one I picked up at a big box store and removed the base. The golf cart is die cut and stamped using On the Links stamp and die set with Shrinky Dink so it would fit in the dome.

Make sure the tree is not going to be cramped by the dome (unless that is the look you are going for lol).  The dome base is from the Make It Market kit: Tinsel & Tags. The tag on the front is from Tinier Tags from Stamp-a-faire 2015 stamped with the Merry Christmas from the Make It Market kit: All Through the House (attached to the dome with Glossy Accents).

I made the golf hole by using a standard size hole punch and attaching a piece of straw underneath it and a piece of cardstock at the base of the straw. I punched a hole for the tree wire and put some glossy accents around the hole to make sure the tree stayed put. The tree is decorated with red Stickles. The golf cart is attached with Glossy Accents.

It's getting a little festive up in here. The crayons and organza ribbon still haven't been put away. There's a little forrest of trees. One in the upside down jar ornament is being contemplated.

This will be a Christmas Golf Dome. I made the golf hole with a hole punch and a piece of paper straw. The golf ball is made with a little glue and toilet paper and will be finished with some icicle stitckles (and will roll around). The golf cart is stamped and die cut on shrinky dink and shrunk down (on the links stamp and die set from Papertey Ink). The clothes pin Santa in the back is made from Papertrey Ink's Make It Market mini kit: Holiday Pin-ups. I'm contemplating the mittens and a beverage. Glossy Accents keep the golf cart upright.

I'm having fun with clothespins. the dies are from the Make It Market mini kit: Holiday Pin-Ups. It comes with some printed sheets that can be cut with the die cuts, but it also has stamps.

But I also did a little stamping (the present from the stamp set in pure poppy). I also attached pencil and crayon holders (the Write Stuff die cuts cut apart).  The mittens for the clothespin Elves, Santa, Snowmen and Reindeer pins are under the pencil pin and the printed tags. I can't believe I don't have a single yellow pencil lol.

Make It Monday #229: Fabric Strip Christmas Trees

Make It Monday #229: Fabric Strip Christmas Trees. A Dual Purpose card, because it's a card, but it's also a bit of holiday decoration. The card base is Spring Moss edged with both the Chai and Chamomile Vintage Tea Dyes and Santa from Petite Places: Holiday Lane stamped with Fine Linen. I used a bamboo skewer for the trunk, ribbon, organza ribbon and strips of tulle for the foliage. Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream buttons, red jingle bells and a sequin star are the finishing touches.  The presents are from the Make It Market kit: All Through the House.

Shine, It's Your Day!

Shine. It's your day! Using a petite LED from Papertrey Ink, the card actually lights up : ).

Here it is with the light turned off. The balloons are from Make It Market kit: Party Pop Up stamped in Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Blueberry ky and Summer Sunrise inks.  The streamers are from the Hooray stamp set stamped with Pure Poppy. The background of the manilla mat is Fair Isle Borders stamped with Fine Linen. The kraft background is the Make It Market kit: Nostalgic Notions stamped with Fine Linen.

The lamp and sentiment are from Lighten Up. The lamp base is stamped with Dark Chocolate and distressed with Vintage Touch Tea Dye (Chai). The lampshade is cut from Sheer Basics vellum Patterned Paper (the polka dots).  The sofa is plaid patterned paper diecut and stamped with On My Couch and edged with Vintage Touch Tea Dye (Chamomile). A strip of Tombow Multi Glue set aside to dry is behind the ink on both sides.

The die for the light to shine through is the pointy ribbon from Make It Market kit: All Through the House. I made a little pocket for the light with an arrow from Movers & Shakers Sentiments to point out the button. I might use a hole punch on the edge so the button is a little more noticeable.

Foam tape is used to give a little dimension to the sofa and some of the balloons. If I were to to mail the card, I'd put it in a padded envelope to keep the light from creasing the card, but it's not very thick.

I've been pulling out a few stamp sets to make a birthday card with a lamp that actually lights up. I'm especially loving the crepe paper banner stamps from Papertrey Ink's Hooray set. I've been fighting off a bug for the last week so crafting has been minimal. On the plus side, the phone situation finally got straightened out.
